Sheridan Smith stars in the sell-out musical

Sheridan Smith was outstanding in Funny Girl along with Darius and the all the cast. It was a remarkable performance and I loved it.

We attended the 4th September 2016 matinee performance. The show, Sheridan Smith and cast brilliant but the whole experience was spoilt on the poor seating, cramped, uncomfortable and so outdated. There was however plenty of leg room. I really feel that for the cost of the tickets these days there should have been good ventilation and air conditioning – the theatre was far too hot and the lack of air meant I was willing the first half to end so I could go outside to the street and get some fresh air. It is really time that London theatres provided the facilities like good comfortable seats, air conditioning as we the general public do pay a lot for these seats and without us the shows wouldn't continue, its time to look after the public. The best theatre I have visited is the Waterside at Aylesbury – yes I know its new and modern but when I compare the cost of visiting London and the unpleasant conditions to view the show it may be best to wait till these shows visit the provincial theatres.

I had tickets to see Funny Girl in May but Unfortunately Sheridan Smith was unwell, I was lucky that I was able to change my tickets as I really wanted to see Sheridan as I think she is a great Actress and singer. I went to see the show today and it was absolutely fantastic, amazing, brilliant. Wow what can I say Sheridan was great and Darius Campbell played an amazing Nick Arnstein. I was so emotional at the end of the show watching Sheridan, she was visibly upset at the fantastic reaction that she got from everyone at the show. I think she got some terrible press following her break from the show. Unless people have gone through the heartache of a parent that you love will all your heart face a cancer battle or die from this terrible disease then who are that to judge how a human being handles their emotions and grief. Well done Sheridan you got through a difficult time in your life and you bounced back to continue to be an amazing performer.

Wow! What a show! Just returned from 4 nights in London seeing a different musical each night but this one was by far the best! Sheridan was amazing though congratulations are due to all the cast – they were mesmerising.

Saw Funny Girl last night and after recent press reports was not expecting to see Sheridan in the starring role on a Monday performance, however, we were elated when it was announced she would be in the show and she certainly didn’t disappoint! What a star. Well done Sheridan, good to see you back… What a voice!

Just wanted to say we went to see Funny Girl on Saturday, it was a 50th birthday present and the recipients were a bit upset that Sheridan Smith wasn’t appearing, however, we were blown away by Natasha’s performance. We were all a little emotional at the end as we felt we had being part of something very special, she was amazing. We also thought that Darius was fantastic, great show, one of the best we’ve seen.

Sheridan’s understudy on Tuesday Nastasha Barnes was amazing and I will definitely try to see her again in future roles, she was brilliant!!!!! I highly recommend trying to get tickets for Funny Girl whilst Nastasha is still playing Fanny Brice, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Bought tickets last year to see the show because Sheridan was going to be playing the lead. Initially was gutted to hear she wasn’t currently in the role. Saw the show last night with Natasha Barnes in the lead role instead, and wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. She was amazing….a really talented actress and great singer. So glad we decided to still go and see it! Hope Natasha goes on to great things and has many more lead roles….she thoroughly deserves to!

Saw FunnyGirl today, the show was amazing. A huge Well Done to all the cast Natasha is a Star to be watched …. Absolutely Fantastic You deserved the standing ovation you got Well Done everybody, could watch it again Don’t miss out People !!!!!

Oh my goodness! What a performance last night by the pure-voiced super talented Natasha J Barnes! She was so good on “People”, “Don’t Rain on My Parade” and “The Music that makes me Dance” that my friend and I cried. Better than Streisand. And Darius Campbell such a beautifully judged vocal performance as Nick Arnstein – and what an absolute gentlemen – every scene with Natasha he let her shine – what a showman and true star. Standing ovation – Natasha and Darius. Go see if you haven’t – you MUST! PS we loved the hug that Darius gave to Natasha at the curtain call – so sweet.

Went to see funny girl last night and thought it was fantastic. Natasha was superb and although I haven’t seen the show with Sheridan, I don’t think she could have been any better. Well done Natasha, a fabulous performance. Oh, any by the way, the rest of the cast were great as well. If you’ve not seen the show, it’s a must.

Natasha J Barnes was more than amazing in today’s show. This is definitely a must see production. Filled with laughs and incredibly cast. The best I have seen in a long time.

Attended the performance last night and after the disappointment of Sheridan Smith pulling out, we were blown away. The show was amazing and the cast fantastic but Miss Natasha Barnes was outstanding, a performance I don’t believe Miss Smith could have bettered. Money well spent.

Been to see funny girl today for the second time and was dissapointed Natasha is a star in the making she was outstanding as was Sheridan when I saw her play fanny Brice . Darius is brilliant too . The whole cast are a pleasure to watch . Hope to come see it again with Sheridan back in her role as fanny Brice.

Was at yesterdays (11th may) matinee performance of funny girl. Natasher j Barnes was absolutely brilliant. As has been said before a star is born! So glad I was present to see Natasha achieve this status. Regarding Sheridan , she obviously has massive problems and I think she should take at least 6 months out and try and fully recover. The show is in safe hands with Natasha in the lead roll. Darius Campbell has to be mentioned because he is a massive star of the show also. His performance yesterday was truly outstanding. Darius you have made it despite Simon Cowell!. Well done. Anybody who feels disappointed that Sheridan is absent, don’t worry , you will still enjoy the show.

Absolutely fabulous, best show ever!!! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
